Then, you have to add a decimal and a 0 at the end, because you need a decimal after all. Now, pretend that the decimal isn't there anymore, and that the number 5 turns into a 50. 9 can go into 50 five times, since 5x9=45. So subtract 50-45, which equals 5. So your answer should be 0.5. That is how you convert a fraction into a decimal.
