The Columbian Exchange brings good things, AND bad things. The positive effects are that it helps both sides with food, defenses, transportation, etcetera. However, there are also negative effects, which are most likely diseases.

In the Columbian Exchange, the Old World (Europe) brought the New World (America) many animals, like horses, chickens, cows, pigs, oxen, sheep, and many more, They also brought food, like potatoes and corn. This helped a lot to the New World, and in return, the New World introduced new foods to them, like pineapples, or tomatoes. However, the negative effect was that the Old World unknowingly gave them diseases, which were caused by unknown plants or unknown animals.

In conclusion, the positive effect was that the Columbian Exchange gave them the solutions to their needs, however, the negative effect was that it also gave the worlds new diseases.
