This Friday is going great! All my classes had a fun activity in them and I also got to watch Mulan and eat popcorn in my CORE class! I also had cookies during lunch from my friend, Nickie.
At lunch, me and my friends were watching a sled race, held by Mr. Ward and the Leadership team. The game is to be the first one to bring "Santa" back and forth to the goal. I saw a lot of my friends playing, and it was really funny. Some even toppled and fell over!
Currently, my computer class was being really noisy. They were talking about what's and what's not cookies. Also, my teacher, Mr. Kimbley, is putting on "All I Want For Christmas Is You" by Mariah Carey. It sets a good mood in my opinion. Did I forget to mention that next week is Winter Break? Everyone is so excited! Especially me! Because of the Hmong New Year. I wrote about the Hmong New Year in another blog in Core Concentration. Feel free to check it out!
Today is currently, one of the greatest days ever! I hope that you guys have a great time with your friends and family on Christmas! Merry Early Christmas!

I think that the Asian teaching way was very clever. It motivates students to learn so they won't go up to the board, and it also helps them correct themselves.
One of the things that surprised me was the main thing: the student who couldn't do well had to go to on the board. The teacher kept on asking the other students if it was right or not. Basically, all the teacher did was ask the students. On the other hand, the student did it by himself. He was thinking about what was wrong with it, and was determined to make the others say yes.
I think this applies to the class because it shows how other people around the world are taught. It makes us students think, "Hmm..why did they do that? What was the purpose?" I also think that the reason Mr. Kimbley had us read it was to realize that  not all people were taught the same way. Some were taught the easy way, and some are taught the hard way. Sometimes, the hard way is what we learn from the most. Most people ignore the easy way, because they think "Pfft! This is easy! I'll remember this!" but when a test comes, the hard way starts to come. Soon you fail your test, which is the hard way.
This article taught me that people have different ways of teachings. Not all teachings are the same, and people around the world aren't taught the same way. So don't call someone stupid, or other names that says they're dumb, because it's just the way their taught. If they can't do it, then help them.

This Friday was okay. Except for the fact that my laptop is broken. It won't turn on, but I know it's not dead because the charger is still working. My laptop still turns on at times, but after an hour later it immediately turns off. I think it has something to do with my charger plug.
Anyways, my classes were okay. CORE class felt really long though. Usually, I have fun in CORE class because I sit next to my friend Analise. We usually goof around on our free time in class. However, today we had to do a worksheet about Confucianism, Daoism, and Buddhism. Also, we needed to watch a video about Chinese-Americans. I'm really freaked out about my science test next period. I studied, but I'm scared of mixing and matching the words. I did my science homework, and studied out of the pre-test, but I'm not sure if I'll pass. Hopefully I do well!
So today was a normal day. No rallies, no events, nothing. I'm going to my dad's house tonight and that's it. See you and have a great weekend!
